What’s in a Name?
I was talking with my father (who was himself a librarian, until his health forced him to retire) the other night, and he said, “It looks like you’re becoming quite the techie. Just remember: libraries are really about books. That’s why they’re called ‘libraries’ and not ‘informatoriums.’”
I’ve been thinking about that, and then a thought occured to me this morning: libraries are about books like coffeeshops are about coffee.
