Internet Librarian: The Crown and Anchor
If nothing else, coming to Monterey for Internet Librarian was worth it to sit in a pub and hear Stephen Abram’s story of attending a library conference in the same building as a porn convention. And to participate in an emotional, energetic, alcohol-fueled discussion with Stephen and some fellow young librarians about libraries, librarians, and the US political situation.

An amazingly number of library gatherings, conventions, etc., are alcohol fueled; and, thus, emotional. It’s an adage that a library convention is a lot of overeducated people all looking for cheap booze, cheap sex, and cheap reference materials.
