I’ve been liminally tagged by Rachel Singer Gordon, so here are eight random tidbits about yours truly:
1. I love all six Star Wars movies. Yes, I love the prequels.
2. I’m currently addicted to the game Rome: Total War. If I haven’t been blogging as much lately, that’s a big reason why.
3. I don’t care for mushrooms or olives, and I absolutely cannot stand water chestnuts. I like Brussels sprouts, though.
4. I love superhero comics. My favorite superheroes are Superman, the original Green Lantern, Mister Miracle, and the original X-Men.
5. My wife and I met through online personals ads.
6. Lately, I’ve taken to carrying around a one-subject notebook with pictures of Wacky Packages stickers on the cover, for no other reason than it helps me get in an “eight-year-old Josh” mindset.
7. I have a hard time not singing along with songs I like, regardless of where I am and who’s around me.
8. I’ve never gotten a rash from poison ivy, even after once sitting in a patch of it while wearing shorts (not on purpose–I didn’t notice there was poison ivy there). This has led me to conclude that I’m immune to poison ivy, but I’ve never been bold enough to really test my theory.
Boy, coming up with those eight things was harder than I thought it would be! Now, I’m supposed to tag eight people, so I’ll tag Steve Lawson, Rochelle Hartman, Iris Jastram, Jessica Langlois, Laura “On a Roll” Crossett, Gregg Winsor, Erica Reynolds, and my wife, Julie Neff. Tagginated!

Done and done. Although you already know everything I listed. Maybe I need to start being more secretive.
Tagginated! Excellent word.
I am also a fan of all six Star Wars movies. However, I’m not sure that I will ever be able to watch Revenge of the Sith again. I loved it, but was way too emotionally involved!!
Hello!
I stumbled across this blog via Bookpusher, which I stumbled across via Library Stuff. Convoluted, but it helped me find two other regionally related (I live in Lawrence) library-related bloggers! Exciting!
I’m a recent Emporia State School of Library and Information Management grad (this May), currently trawling the area for jobs. It’s just a piece of paper until I get to put it to use. :)
Additionally, I am also a big fan of spontaneous singing, regardless of the audience or situation. This may be good or bad, I suppose time will tell.
Anyway, from what I have seen so far, your blog looks interesting, not to mention entertaining, and I have added it to my feeds…it’ll be nice to have some region-specific content on my library feeds page!
Hey, Kate! It’s nice to meet you (blogwise).
Watch out for that poison ivy thing (poison oak where we live). My husband thot the same thing and lived to regret it. More exposure means that eventually your body will react and it will be horrible! Some of the worst, most dangerous cases are because of this we found out from the doctor.
Re #3: we are complete opposites. I love what you hate!
Well, I loathe the last 3 star wars movies, but all 3 are still much better than the last 2 pirate movies. I saw the first three when they came out multiple times (crushes on Luke then Han.)
I agree the first G.L is the best, Hal Jordan is a wuss. I like black canary, wonder woman, superman, and duo damsel and the second Ghost Rider.
I had wacky package stickers back in the early 70′s and they were banned from elementary school for being subversive!
Are you a fellow red head? singing along with the radio seems to be a characteristic of red headed geniuses.
Is anyone attending ALA this year?
Great to meet you all!
Jamie, I saw the original Star Wars movies when they came out (multiple times), too. I grew up with them. And I love them dearly. I just also love the newer 3 movies.
Duo Damsel! YES! I was a big LSH fan when I was a kid. I crack my wife up by just reciting the names of the members (Saturn Girl! Cosmic Boy! Bouncing Boy! Element Lad! Invisible Kid! MATTER-EATER LAD!)
I’m not a redhead, but my wife is. But she only sings along with music when she’s alone.
I’m not attending ALA this year, although it looks likely I’ll be at Internet Librarian again this year.
