My first reaction was "yay! Acting Dean reads blogs!" Then I realized had she <i>read</i> the blog coverage she would have seen it was NOT filled with rumor, and actually represented some of the only journalism about the situation to that point. Sure, some of the editorializing on the part of students countered her position (which was her boss' position), but the information was solid. Therefore, she was listening to second hand accounts of the blog posts, or, some might say, <i>rumor</i>. When will the Critics with Agendas and High Office be taken to task for indulging in the very same activities they so loudly decry? Sorry to get long winded here Josh but your point is extremely important, and unfortunately, not isolated. Thanks for the space to say something.
