San Francisco IS a great town. Berkeley, though, while still great in certain ways, has since the late 1980s become crime-ridden. The principal crime is breaking and entering. The huge number of drug users in Berkeley have to find things to sell somewhere. Many, if not most houses in Berkeley now have bars on the doors and windows, and alarm systems. But The City, itself, is even more wonderful now than it used to be.
